Find Your Minds

.Our understanding of communication has transformed in the past century. I should know, because I have taught more than 20 university courses of communication... from intercultural to business to video production. Amazingly, the world's most common form of communication has never been investigated or explained. What is this? Inner communication.

we talk to ourselves constantly in ways that can make our lives more like what we want, or create inner conflict that prevents us from reaching our goals and enjoying our days on this remarkable planet. my new book, "Mind Your Minds", is the first exploration and explanation of what I call our Four Minds. Of course, you are familiar with two of these: our conscious mind and subconscious. Our traditional understanding of these leaves out an enormous amount of our internal communication.

in other words, this is a very new and neglected aspect of communication. I hope to change this not only for scholars and educators like myself, but for every person who feels they keep tripping themselves up with internal arguments, confusion, and frustration. My book proposes this brand-new idea of communication, explains each of the four minds that make us up, and offers many and varied techniques for integrating your minds so that, together, they can collaborate to make your life what you want it to be.

I will use this blog to home in and explore various topics from the book. I hope you find the idea intriguing and valuable, and look forward to hearing from you.
